Names Perfect Game
ESPN’s
Leading Authority on Amateur Baseball
ESPN
and Perfect Game agree to an alliance that could have a large impact on amateur
baseball.
Cedar
Rapids, IA. - Perfect Game today announced a working relationship with
ESPN. Details will be released at a later time, but Perfect Game is now
recognized as ESPN’s leading authority on amateur baseball content.

association with ESPN will help us continue our mission of promoting baseball
at all levels”, said Perfect Game President Jerry Ford. “Amateur baseball
will benefit greatly, which is a major goal of both ESPN and Perfect
Game. ESPN and Perfect Game share a desire to help young people fall in
love with the game of baseball. Creating baseball fans is just as
important as creating baseball players at the grass roots level. We are
very honored and excited to team up with ESPN, Ford said, there is no one who
has a bigger impact on baseball or sports in general.”
Perfect
Game is recognized as amateur baseball’s largest scouting service,
headquartered in Cedar Rapids, IA. Perfect Game holds many events
throughout the nation for the most talented amateur baseball prospects.
In
2006, 952 MLB draft picks, including 38 of the 44 players selected in the first
round and supplemental first round, attended Perfect Game events. Over
the past 5 years well over 3,000 players who attended Perfect Game events have
been drafted by Major League organizations. The teams that played in the
past three NCAA College World Series telecast by ESPN, included over 400
players who attended PG events as high school players. It has been estimated
that by year 2009 more than half of all those on Major League rosters will have
