SCOUTING REPORT: How many scouts have been to see the 6-foot-8 Lorenz is an open question. He has had some elbow tenderness this spring and been limited, but there are reports that Lorenz has been up to 90-92 mph in the past with a developing curveball. He has signed with Iowa Western CC, which also has a top North Dakota prospect from 2006, outfielder Tyler Lundy, on its roster.
