As the summer calendar edges towards August, only 16 of 30
first-round picks from this year’s draft have signed. The earliest pick to
agree to terms is Clemson lefthander Daniel Moskos, selected fourth overall by
Pittsburgh. He signed for a bonus of $2.475 million—the largest bonus paid to
date this year.
Moskos’ bonus is only the eighth highest on record for the fourth overall
